The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of diverse Indigenous peoples including the Cree, Nitsitapi / Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, Ojibway/ Saulteaux/Anishinaabe.?We also acknowledge all of the Indigenous, Inuit and Métis?peoples who make Alberta their home today.

Animal Architects

Animal Architects is inspired by the designed structures of insects, mammals and birds and the evolution of these structures over time and space. This exhibition invites families to explore the ongoing and compounding changes animals and humans have on their surroundings and the legacy of this transformation across generations and into the future.

Discover the creative habits and building behaviours of animals through their unique dwellings, structures and habitats. Hunt for visual clues and puzzles, build your own architectural sculpture, read a story, and add to our collaborative weaving.?

The Children's Gallery is an interactive, hands-on space where children and their grown-ups can explore their creativity. Exhibitions and themes change from year-to-year. Presented as part of the Poole Centre of Design program.
